Department head welcome message

Welcome to the website of Medical Biochemistry and  Molecular Biology Department, Faculty of Medicine, Mansoura University under the chairmanship of Prof. Ashraf Abdel Basset, President of Mansoura University, and Prof. Ashraf Mamdouh Shouma, Dean of Faculty of Medicine.

The department is a host to a broad range of education, research, and outreach programs in medical and basic research. Our goal is to understand the molecular mechanisms that underlie basic biological processes and how they change in disease. Our staff members are totally committed to provide an outstanding educational experience for the under & postgraduates, as well as establishing an integrated research academic environment. We are in the midst of a true revolution in biomedical research and discovery, and we are making great strides in accelerating the translation of our knowledge into meaningful clinical advancements in patient care.
