The center was established in 2015 in the era of Prof. Dr. Sahar Abdelaziz El-Dakroory, former head of the Forensic Medicine and Clinical Toxicology Department, as a special public center.
The center includes a section for forensic medical advisory services, and a laboratory for toxicology analysis.
The center is supervised by professors experienced in forensic medical consultations and toxicological analyzes.
The public service center for forensic medical consultation and analysis provides many services:
• Providing technical and legal support to the doctors accused by the judicial investigation authorities, by reviewing the initial medical report submitted by the complained doctor to the prosecution.
• Preparing forensic medical advisory reports in Medical liability issues for the complained doctors.
• Preparing advisory forensic medical reports in criminal cases, disputed paternity, counterfeiting, forgery, injuries and disabilities and drug abuse analysis.
• Activating the role of the center in the field of community service by spreading the legal culture in the field of medical responsibility.
• The center provides also the service of forensic medical chemical analyzes for institutions and individuals Samples (blood, urine, hair and others) are used for detection of many drugs, narcotics, toxic and alcoholic substances. Confirmatory tests are performed if needed. Drugs of abuse tests required for employment.
Under the urgent need of physicians for technical support in medical liability issues, a cooperation protocol was performed between the Doctors Syndicate in Dakahlia and the Mansoura College of Medicine and the Public Service Center for Forensic Medical Consultations and Analyzes.
