faculty history

The Faculty of Medicine is the first nucleus of Mansoura University.
In 1962, Presidential Decree Law No. 1947 was issued to establish the Mansoura Faculty of Medicine, affiliated to Cairo University, and its headquarters will be in Mansoura.
Prof. Dr. Ibrahim Abu Al-Naga supervised the establishment of the college and assumed management at that time.
Studying at the college began in the academic year 1962-1963 in one of the buildings of Mansoura Secondary School for Boys.
In the year 1967-1968, a ministerial decision was issued to transfer the affiliation of Mansoura University Hospital to the Faculty of Medicine, to become a university hospital as of the year 1968-1969.
