Department of Medical Education
The Department of Medical Education was established in 2017 to support and enhance the quality of medical education by developing faculty members, participating in curriculum design, and implementing and monitoring educational activities.
The field of medical education is divided into three branches:
1. Curriculum Development
2. Teaching Methods
3. Assessment Methods
Additionally, medical education is structured into three main stages:
1. Undergraduate Medical Education – Basic medical education before graduation.
2. Postgraduate Medical Education – Advanced medical training after graduation.
3. Medical Education Training Programs for Faculty members .
Medical education plays a crucial role in shaping the lives and behaviors of medical students through the teaching strategies employed, and it also significantly impacts the healthcare system.

It is my pleasure and honor to welcome you to the Department of Medical Education at the Faculty of Medicine, Mansoura University.
I am also pleased to invite you to participate in the department’s various academic activities, contributing to the advancement of medical education at the faculty. Your active involvement in developing scientific curricula, utilizing evidence-based modern teaching and assessment methods, and supporting innovative evaluation techniques for students and academic programs will greatly enhance our educational standards.
The Department of Medical Education is one of the newest departments in the Faculty of Medicine, having been established in 2017. Since its inception, it has been committed to supporting the development of the medical curriculum and the overall educational process at the faculty.
