We are glad to welcome you at the page of cardiothoracic surgery department – Faculty of Medicine, Mansoura University.

 The department consists of three units, adult cardiac surgery unit, general thoracic surgery unit and pediatric cardiac surgery unit. All these unit provide to patients highly efficient medical services including all aspects of operative management and perioperative evaluation and care. With the harmonic integration between the outpatient clinics, highly equipped operating theatres and intensive care units and efforts of our well-trained staff we have been trying to serve our patients a high standard medical care.

Our staff members are also involved in teaching and training of medical staff, teaching for undergraduate students and post graduate students. The department gives Masters and the MD in cardiothoracic surgery.

The department also is involved in community service leaded by the faculty in all parts of the country.

Our vision is to provide a highly standard level of medical education and training as well as medical research and to be classified locally and internationally as the known reputation of our university.
