The Department of Dermatology seeks to provide a high level of excellence in medical education and training, and to provide distinguished health services to the community through the Department of Dermatology, Venereology and Andrology in its various units, as well as the advancement of scientific research.
The Department of Dermatology and Venereology was established as an independent unit affiliated to the Department of Private Internal Medicine with the beginning of work in university hospitals and then became independent in 1991.
The department contains 6 service and research units for dermatology (skin allergy and immunology unit, infectious diseases unit, dermatology unit, skin beautification unit, phototherapy unit, and pediatric dermatology unit) in addition to three service and research units for andrology (male infertility units and sex medicine unit). And the Unit for Sexually Transmitted Diseases) and specialized clinics such as the clinic for psoriasis, immune diseases and children, where the number of beds in the internal department reached 38 beds, and the average number of patients admitted to 950 cases annually, and those attending the outpatient clinics and units were about 54,700 patients. He is registered with (22) Ph.D. and Masters (145), as well as training of Arab Board doctors (59) doctors
