I pray that this year will be a prosperous one for the college and students, and that the efforts exerted by all of you—the current and former college administration, faculty members, staff, students, and the quality assurance and accreditation unit—will culminate in institutional accreditation for the college.

If one of the requirements for accreditation is that the college have a mission and vision, then please allow me to present a vision and mission for the graduate studies, research, and cultural relations sector. We hope to collaborate to achieve as much as we can of this vision to elevate Mansoura University's College of Medicine to a distinguished scientific position that places it among the top medical colleges regionally and worldwide.

Our mission is for faculty members to transfer the knowledge, skills, and experiences they have acquired in their fields to their graduate students, we should teach students as much as we can during their studies, but assess them based on what they are capable of achieving.

Graduate students represent the future of this college, and they must be equipped scientifically, practically, administratively, and psychologically to carry the torch of scientific progress in the coming years, God willing.

I urge every researcher and their supervisor to ensure that our research has a specific goal and a novel idea that results in new knowledge, skills, or techniques that are beneficial to science and patients. We should avoid, as much as possible, replicating work that has already been done.
