Clinical and therapeutic services
The department manages and supervises the clinical laboratories of the hospitals and medical centers at Mansoura University; many of which were accredited internationally (Canadian accreditation in the laboratories of the Oncology Center), and locally (The Egyptian Accreditation Authority in the laboratories of the Emergency Hospital) and accreditation procedures are underway for other laboratories (Immunology lab - Molecular Analysis lab - Hemostasis lab).
The faculty members and staff of the department play a large and effective role in preventing the spread of infection in university hospitals and medical centers in cooperation with the rest of the faculty departments, in addition to the Lab safety committees in the department’s laboratories.
Environmental and Community Services
The department participates in many medical convoys in partnership with some departments of the faculty.
The department provides economic services for outpatients at affordable prices, with high efficiency and discipline

The staff in our department supervise a variety of thesis from the department itself and other departments as well.
They also participate in scientific research with various departments in the University and many local and international conferences. The department holds an annual conference in addition to many annual workshops.

Undergraduate:
Our department teaches Clinical Pathology to the fifth-year students of the Faculty of Medicine, the third-year students of the new credit hour-based program in the Faculty of Medicine, the second-year students of the Faculty of Nursing, and the students of Technical Institute for Health (two years after the diploma).
Graduate:
Master’s degree:
The department awards Masters in Clinical Pathology.
In addition, it teaches the clinical pathology as a subsidiary subject in the Master’s program to the following departments: Family Medicine, Pediatrics, General Medicine, Emergency, and Ear, Nose and Throat.
Doctorate degree:
The department awards M.D. in Clinical Pathology.
In addition, it teaches the clinical pathology as a subsidiary subject in the M.D. programs in the following departments: Hematology, Rheumatology, Oncology, Hepatology, and Gastroenterology.
In addition, it teaches Clinical Pathology as an elective course in the Histology dept.
