Conducting the first case of “Tevar” at the Vascular Surgery Center at Mansoura University
A team of vascular surgeons headed by Dr. Massad Suleiman, Director of the Center for Vascular Surgery, and in the presence of representatives of the cardiac surgeons and the care team, performed an interventional catheterization to correct the fission of the thoracic aorta as a result of the chronic rise in the patient’s pressure, and the splitting led to an aortic aneurysm, warning of an explosion, in addition to stopping the course blood transfusions from some vital organs. It should be noted that this type of intervention includes a large number of high pressure patients who did not find a way to radical solutions to prevent complications for patients such as the explosion of the expansion or its extension to the arteries of the kidneys, intestines or extremities. This type of technology represents a qualitative development in the service provided at the Center for Vascular Surgery . And all the surgical supplies were provided by the treatment department within the waiting lists, and the intervention was carried out using the covered stent technique, which ensured the re-circulation of blood in the main aorta and took 45 minutes with all the preparations provided by the heart surgery team as well as the anesthesia team headed by Dr. Doaa Galal and the intensive care team Headed by Dr. Mohamed Adel, the patient’s examinations showed 100% of the intervention’s success as soon as the IVF ended
