The First Meeting of the Permanent Scientific Committee for Promotion of Professors and Associate Professors – Supreme Council of Universities – Pathology Specialization, Fifteenth Turn (2025–2028), was held at the Department of Anatomical Pathology, Faculty of Medicine, Mansoura University- Saturday, November 8^th  2025.

With praise to God, the first meeting of the Permanent Committee for the Promotion of Professors and Associate Professors – Pathology Specialization – Supreme Council of Universities, Fifteenth Session, was convened on Saturday, November 8, at 10:00 a.m., under the chairmanship of Professor Dr. Amira Kamal Abdel Hamid El-Hawary, the Committee Rapporteur, at the premises of the Department of Anatomical Pathology, Faculty of Medicine, Mansoura University.

The meeting discussed several topics related to the Committee’s work and promotion affairs in an atmosphere of seriousness and cooperation, reflecting a shared commitment to strengthening and advancing academic and research development in Egyptian universities.

The Department of Anatomical Pathology, Faculty of Medicine, Mansoura University, expresses its pride in hosting the Committee’s activities and reaffirms its constant dedication to contributing effectively to fostering academic excellence and enhancing the status of scientific research in Egyptian higher education institutions.

Participation of Anatomical Pathology Department Staff in the “Scientific Meeting of Cardiothoracic Surgery Department” Faculty of Medicine, Mansoura University on May 13, 2024

The Pathology Department participated in the medical convoy for early detection of cervical cancer in the village of Kafr Abu Ghaleb in Damietta Governorate on October 20, 2023. The Pathology Department team of specialized pathologists and technicians examined and diagnosed about 20 cases using routine stains in addition to the Papanicolaou stain, which is one of the best diagnostic methods in this field.

These activities are held periodically in the hall of the Pathology Department, with the attendance and participation of the staff members, assistant lecturers and demonstrators. These activities include:

Weekly scientific meeting “Updates in Pathology”	Wednesday, 12 p.m.	Discussing scientific updates in an important pathology topic.
Consensus Meeting	Sunday, 12 p.m.	Presenting and discussing the diagnostically challenging, problematic cases that we meet in the pathology laboratories to establish agreement on the final diagnosis.
Research Protocol Evaluation Committee Meeting	The date is set after the department council meeting. In these meetings, the Ph.D. and master thesis proposals -intended to be registered by the assistant lecturers and demonstrators in the department- are presented, evaluated and edited by the committee based on the principles of the department’s research plan and requirements.

• The staff members, assistant lecturers and demonstrators of the pathology department attend and participate in the multidisciplinary team (MDT) meeting in the hall of Oncology Center, Mansoura University (OCMU) according to their subspeciality as follows:

ينظم قسم الباثولوجي المؤتمرات وورش العمل والدورات التدريبية في مجال الباثولوجي، كما يشارك مع العديد من الهيئات المحلية والدولية المتميزة لعقد أنشطة علمية متعددة التخصصات من شأنها الوقوف على آخر التحديثات في مجال علم الأمراض والمجالات الطبية ذات الصلة مثل:
