Mansoura Pediatric Neurology Conference 2025: Key Updates and Future Directions
The activities of the Pediatric Neurology Unit Conference at Mansoura University Children's Hospital were successfully concluded on November 13th and 14th, 2025, under the title:
"Mansoura Pediatric Neurology Conference 2025: Key Updates and Future Directions"
The conference was held at the Prof. Dr./ Al-Mahdi Al-Basousi Lecture Hall – University Children's Hospital – Mansoura University Faculty of Medicine.
Under the patronage of:
* Prof. Dr./ Sherif Khater - President of Mansoura University.
* Prof. Dr./ Mohamed Attia - Vice President of the University for Education and Student Affairs.
* Prof. Dr./ Ashraf Shoma - Dean of the Faculty of Medicine.
* Prof. Dr./ Ayman Hammad - Head of the Pediatrics Department.
* Prof. Dr./ Mona Hafez - Director of the University Children's Hospital.
* Prof. Dr./ Bothayna Hassanein - Head of the Pediatric Neurology Unit.
With the attendance and participation of:
* Prof. Dr./ Amr Sarhan - Former Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, Mansoura University.
* Prof. Dr./ Ali Tawfik - Chairman of the Doctors' Syndicate in Dakala.
* Prof. Dr./ Tamer Abou El-Saad - Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, Nile Valley University.
* Prof. Dr./ Ashraf Tarek Hafez - Former Vice President of Mansoura University for Postgraduate Studies.
The conference brought together an elite group of professors of pediatric neurology from various Egyptian and international universities, alongside doctors from the Ministry of Health, in a distinguished scientific gathering aimed at exchanging expertise and discussing the latest updates in treating nervous system diseases in children. The conference specifically focused on:
* Cases of “Drug-Resistant Epilepsy”, reviewing modern developments in interventional treatment methods and the emerging options that open new horizons for improving patients' quality of life.
* New developments in diagnosing “Multiple Sclerosis” and other neurological immune disorders, with a focus on the latest diagnostic technologies and their role in improving diagnostic accuracy and early intervention.
The conference activities concluded with a distinguished workshop on developmental and movement disorders in children. The workshop also included practical training on the injection of “Botulinum Toxin” for cases of cerebral palsy.
