Annual Student Research Day in its sixth edition

Mansoura Faculty of Medicine held, on Monday, November 3, 2025, its Annual Student Research Day in its sixth edition. The event was organized by the Mansoura Manchester Research Society at the Faculty of Medicine - Mansoura University.

Under the patronage of:

*   Professor Dr. Ashraf Shoma, Dean of the Faculty

*   Professor Dr. Mohamed El-Fakhar, Vice Dean for Education and Student Affairs

*   Professor Dr. Alaa Wafa, Vice Dean for Postgraduate Studies and Research

*   Professor Dr. Ahmed Nagm, Director of the Mansoura Manchester Program for Medical Education

The day witnessed widespread participation from faculty students across all academic stages, featuring presentations of a number of outstanding student research projects. This reflects the Faculty of Medicine's enduring commitment to developing scientific research skills among its students and nurturing talented individuals within the framework of the university's vision for academic and research excellence.

The event culminated a year of distinguished research activity and was attended by a large number of students from Egyptian medical faculties and faculty members, in an atmosphere that reflected a spirit of cooperation and scientific creativity among different generations of researchers.

The event's key statistics were as follows:

*   200 student research abstracts submitted for participation.

*   60 presentations were selected to be presented during the event.

*   15 Egyptian medical faculties participated at Mansoura Faculty of Medicine.

*   800 students from various Egyptian medical faculties attended the event.

*   Attendance by one of the faculty's icons, a recipient of the State Appreciation Award and the Nile Award.

*   10 faculty members provided their support and expertise in the field of student research.

*   15 students shared their inspiring experiences in scientific research, scholarships, and international publication.

*   10 student research projects were honored as the best participating projects.

*   50 students from the MMRS alumni formed the Scientific Committee.

*   50 students from the Student Union formed the Organizing Committee.

*   550 students applied to sit for the admission test for the Scientific Research School held the following day.

*   Announcement of 5 new student grants, supported by the Mansoura Manchester program, to form distinguished research teams.

The event organizers expressed their pride in the success achieved by the sixth edition of the Research Day, affirming the continuation of efforts to spread the culture of scientific research among the faculty's students and to encourage student initiatives that contribute to developing research and innovation skills.

It is noteworthy that the Annual Student Research Day has become one of the most prominent scientific events at Mansoura Faculty of Medicine, aiming to cement the faculty's position as a pioneering center in supporting student scientific research among Egyptian universities.
