Reception of the Dutch Delegation for Open-Heart Surgeries at Specialized Medical Hospital

In line with the keenness of Faculty of Medicine and Specialized Medical Hospital to enhance academic and clinical cooperation with international medical institutions, the hospital received a high-level delegation of cardiac surgeons from the Netherlands, representing Jeroen Bosch Hospital. This visit was part of an expertise exchange program in the fields of cardiology and cardiac catheterization.
During their week-long visit, which began on Saturday, November 22, 2025, the delegation commenced performing a number of cardiac catheterization procedures for cases of chronic coronary artery occlusion. These advanced procedures serve as a good alternative to open-heart surgeries, contributing to the transfer of leading international expertise to our medical system and the development of Egyptian medical staff's skills in this precise specialty.
The visit concluded with a distinguished scientific lecture held in the hospital's conference hall, reaffirming the commitment of both sides to supporting medical education, continuous development, and high-quality healthcare services.
