Mansoura Medicine Continues its International Medical Leadership in Aortic Surgeries

Under the patronage of Prof. Dr. Sherif Khater, President of Mansoura University,

Prof. Dr. Tarek Ghaloush, Vice President for Graduate Studies and Research, and Prof. Dr. Ashraf Mamdouh Shouma, Dean of the Faculty and Chairman of the Board of Directors of University Hospitals

        inaugurated the activities of the International Conference on Advanced Aortic Surgeries at the Cardiothoracic Surgery Center, which will be held on February 4 and 5, 2026, in cooperation with the Egyptian Society of Cardiothoracic Surgery, with the participation of a group of surgeons from South Korea and the United States of America, namely Prof. Sook Won Sung (South Korea) Professor Sameh Saeed (United States of America)
The scientific program of the conference included an advanced educational experience based on live and live broadcasting of precise and complex surgeries, implemented according to the latest technologies and international standards, with the aim of refining the skills of young medical staff and acquainting them with the smallest details of aortic valve and arch surgeries, in addition to reviewing the latest scientific findings in the field of modern vascular interventions and minimally invasive surgeries.
      The opening witnessed a medical and academic presence, with the participation of Prof. Dr. Alaa Wafa, Vice Dean for Graduate Studies and Research, Prof. Dr. Al-Shaarawy Kamal, Executive Director of Hospitals, Prof. Dr. Ihab Saad, former Dean of the College and Professor of Vascular Surgery, Prof. Dr. Walid Mounir, Director of the University Hospital, along with Prof. Dr. Noureddine Noman, Professor of Cardiothoracic Surgery, Prof. Dr. Hossam Al-Wakil, Head of the Department of Vascular Surgery, Prof. Dr. Samer Rijal, Director of the Center for Cardiothoracic and Vascular Surgery Prof. Dr. Mohamed Sanad – Deputy Director of the Center, among a group of heads of departments and professors from various Egyptian universities.
