"Intermediate Life Support (ILS – Intermediate Life Support)"
This is within the framework of the college's keenness to enhance the culture of graduate students, develop their skills in dealing with critical cases and respond quickly to cardiopulmonary resuscitation, as one of the basic requirements for granting master's and doctoral degrees.
Under the auspices of Prof. Dr. Ashraf Shouma, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, Prof. Dr. Ghada Al-Qunaishi, Vice Dean for Community Service and Environmental Development, and Prof. Dr. Alaa Wafa, Vice Dean for Postgraduate Studies and Research
The workshop was organized under the supervision and coordination of:
Prof. Dr. Mohamed Yaqout – Director of the Continuing Medical Education Unit
Prof. Dr. Amr Yassin – Professor of Anesthesiology, Surgical Intensive Care and Pain Management
Prof. Dr. Mohamed Kamal, Secretary of the Continuing Medical Education Unit
The workshop was held on Wednesday and Sunday, January 28 and February 1, 2026.
The workshop included theoretical and practical aspects that included:
Basic principles of CPR.
Clinical case assessment and immediate response.
Use an automated defibrillator (AED).

Practical exercises were carried out on realistic simulation scenarios, aimed at improving the speed and accuracy of emergency performance.
This course comes as part of the College's ongoing plan to qualify medical staff according to the latest international standards in the field of emergency medical care.
