The distinguished scientific day in the Department of Clinical Pathology, entitled Red Cell Alloimmunization: Challenges, Updates, and Future Directions

As part of the ongoing scientific activity witnessed by the Faculty of Medicine at Mansoura University, Professor Dr. Ashraf Shoma, Dean of the Faculty and Chairman of the Board of Directors of University Hospitals, inaugurated the activities of the distinguished scientific day organized by the Department of Clinical Pathology under the title:

"Red Cell Alloimmunization: Challenges, Updates, and Future Directions"

In attendance were Prof. Dr. Hossam Zaghloul, Head of the Clinical Pathology Department; Prof. Dr. Walid El-Nahhas, Director of the Oncology Center; Prof. Dr. Nadia El-Menshawy, Professor of Clinical Pathology and Event Coordinator; Prof. Dr. Doaa Shaheen, Director of Laboratories and Blood Bank at the Oncology Center; and Prof. Dr. Nada Khaled.

During the opening ceremony, Prof. Dr. Ashraf Shoma emphasized the full support provided by the college and hospital administration for research and scientific activities that enhance the efficiency of medical staff. He praised the pioneering role of the Clinical Pathology Department in developing the diagnostic and treatment systems in all university hospitals, especially the Oncology Center, which is witnessing significant advancements in its laboratory services.

The scientific symposium addressed the latest developments and challenges in the field of red blood cell immunization and how to manage complex blood transfusion cases. It featured presentations by a select group of professors, researchers, and physicians, and hosted colleagues from Cairo, Ain Shams, Tanta, Zagazig, and other universities, as well as colleagues from the Ministry of Health in Dakahlia, with the aim of exchanging expertise and providing the best possible medical care for patients.
