On Thursday, January 8, 2026, a training session was held for students from Mexico and Peru on the basic methods of bacterial culture, testing sensitivity to different antibiotics, how to examine and diagnose infections with different types of microbes, as well as sterilization policies and infection prevention within microbial diagnostic laboratories.

The activities of the "Eighteenth Training Course" of the Gynecologic Oncology Unit at the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Mansoura University, which came under the title: "Laparoscopic pelvic anatomy for Gyn-Onclogists" have been successfully concluded.
The two-day course witnessed many theoretical lectures that focused on the latest technologies and international standards in gynecologic oncology surgeries, as well as practical training inside the operating rooms to apply advanced laparoscopic surgery skills under the supervision of a group of professors from the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology

Under the title "Emerging Therapies in the Treatment of Stomach and Esophageal Cancer," in the graduate studies hall at the college headquarters
Today's events included intensive scientific sessions that discussed the latest scientific advancements in combating gastrointestinal tumors.
At the end of the day, attendees praised the event's organizational and scientific level, emphasizing the importance of collaboration among all medical specialties to provide the best possible care for cancer patients.
The event was chaired by
Dr. Hanan Wahba, Head of the Department of Oncology and Nuclear Medicine at the college, and organized by Dr. Shukri Al-Azab, Assistant Professor in the department, with the participation of the Department of General Surgery and Anatomical Pathology.
Attendees commended the scientific material presented and the interaction between the various scientific departments in developing cancer treatment plans according to the latest international protocols.
On Thursday, December 18, 2025, the Clinical Pharmacology Department organized its annual scientific conference titled:
"Precision in the Nephron: Quantitative/Clinical- Pharmacology for Renal health”
The sessions focused on developing precise solutions for the challenges in treating kidney patients, including advanced protocols for dose adjustment in cases of renal insufficiency and the importance of Therapeutic Drug Monitoring (TDM) to ensure maximum therapeutic efficacy with minimal side effects.
On the sidelines of the conference, a practical workshop concluded, aimed at training medical staff in using modern software for the highly accurate determination of clinical dosages.
The conference was chaired by Prof. Dr. Ashraf Shoma, Dean of the Faculty and Chairman of the Board of University Hospitals and Medical Centers. The opening ceremony was attended by Prof. Dr. Ghada El- Kenishy, Vice Dean for Community Service and Environmental Development, and Prof. Dr. Mohamed El-Fakhar, Vice Dean for Education and Student Affairs, as announced by Prof. Dr. Hala El-Ashry, Head of the Clinical Pharmacology Department and Secretary-General of the conference.
Professor Dr. Ashraf Shoma, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine at Mansoura University, inaugurated the activities of the Twelfth International Conference of the Psychiatry Department, held this year under the theme:
"Transforming Psychiatry: Integration, Research, and Advocacy"
The opening was attended by Professor Dr. Salwa Toba, Head of the Psychiatry Department at Mansoura and Conference President, and Professor Dr. Mahmoud El-Waseefi, Secretary-General of the conference. The event also featured active participation from the Egyptian Psychiatric Association and the Egyptian Association for Child and Adolescent Psychiatry.
The opening ceremony was graced by a high-level visit from the Minister of Health of the Republic of The Gambia, underscoring the international and African dimension of the scientific and academic collaboration championed by the university.
The current edition of the conference is also hosting the Fourth International Conference of the Egyptian Association for Child and Adolescent Psychiatry (ECAPA), in collaboration with the International Association for Child and Adolescent Psychiatry and Allied Professions (IACAPAP). The event witness’s broad participation from experts and specialists to discuss the latest scientific advancements in the fields of general psychiatry and child & adolescent specialties.
The conference activities continue from December 17 to 20, featuring a rich scientific agenda aimed at fostering integration between scientific research and clinical practice. The sessions and workshops seek to present innovative solutions to improve the quality of mental healthcare and provide community support, in line with modern global transformations in this field. The events are being held at Mansoura University and the city of Ras El Bar.
The Faculty of Medicine, Mansoura University, hosted the activities of the Eighteenth Annual Conference of the Rheumatology and Immunology Unit within the Department of Internal Medicine. The conference spanned four days, from December 9 to 12, 2025, filled with scientific research and advanced training.
The conference included specialized workshops on joint injections using ultrasound guidance, in addition to discussions of complex rheumatology and immunology cases. This was achieved through collaboration between the unit's faculty members and the participation of the departments of Obstetrics and Gynecology, Chest Diseases, Hematology, and Ophthalmology (Medicine and Surgery) from the faculty, alongside numerous Egyptian universities and specialized associations in the field.
The conference also discussed the latest advancements in the treatment of rheumatic and autoimmune diseases. This conference represents a qualitative addition to scientific research and continuous medical training in the fields of rheumatology and immunology
In quest of its commitment to elevating the scientific and professional standards of medical staff, the Cardiothoracic Surgery Department at the Cardiothoracic and Vascular Surgery Center, Faculty of Medicine – Mansoura University, organized a series of specialized scientific workshops during November 2025. These workshops featured the participation of a distinguished panel of local and international professors and experts.
The workshops covered several subspecialties within the field of cardiothoracic surgeries, keeping pace with the latest global advancements in this area. These events were held with the participation of professors from various nationalities from different Egyptian and international universities.
The organizers emphasized that these workshops are part of ongoing efforts to support the practical training of physicians and to transfer modern global expertise. This, in turn, reflects positively on enhancing the level of healthcare services provided to patients, underscoring the distinguished scientific standing of the Cardiothoracic and Vascular Surgery Center at Mansoura University's Faculty of Medicine on both the local and international levels.
