           The dangers of the contrast range from simple symptoms that include the nausea, vomiting and
            sweating, but it may reach severe symptoms due to the hypersensitivity to the contrast. In this case,
             a specialized physician is brought to deal with the case.Radiations from CT also is hazardous for
            pregnant woman as it can causes congenital anomalies in babies.

            Kidney function analysis must be done and to ensure that the kidneys are working efficiently before
            giving the patient the dye.

          Yes, there are 3 places inside Mansoura University Hospitals where therapeutic interventional
          radiology examinations can be performed, the main department, Internal Medicine Specialized
           Hospital and the Gastroenterology Center.

  • What are contraindications for MRI?

            MRI is absolutely contraindicated in cases with peace maker and cases with history of cochlear
              implant.

  • What are hazardous of MRI contrast agent (Gadolinium)?

          Gadolinium can cause nephrogenic systemic fibrosis in cases of renal failure, it is also contraindicated
           to be used in pregnant women.
