    Laying the foundation stone for an expansion building extension of the Oncology Center

    Prof. Dr. Ashraf Abdel Basset, President of Mansoura University, laid the foundation stone for an expansion building extension of the Oncology Center on an area of ​​550 m2 in the presence of Prof. Dr. Tamer Abu Al-Saad, Acting Dean of the Faculty of Medicine and Chairman of the Board of Directors of Hospitals and Medical Centers, Prof. Dr. Mohamed Hegazy, Executive Director of Hospitals and Medical Centers, Prof. Dr. Walid Al-Nahhas, Director of the Center, former directors and deputy directors of the Center, and a number of department heads
    The building consists of two floors, basement and ground, and 8 identical floors, including:
    The basement of the radiology department consists of radiotherapy devices, a waste shredder, and the power station: The second basement of the warehouse department is central stores
    Ground floor: waiting areas for patients and the main pharmacy of the center
    First floor: Pediatric clinics consist of (7) examination clinics, administrative rooms, treatment rooms, x-ray rooms

    Conducting the first case of “Tevar” at the Vascular Surgery Center at Mansoura University

    A team of vascular surgeons headed by Dr. Massad Suleiman, Director of the Center for Vascular Surgery, and in the presence of representatives of the cardiac surgeons and the care team, performed an interventional catheterization to correct the fission of the thoracic aorta as a result of the chronic rise in the patient’s pressure, and the splitting led to an aortic aneurysm, warning of an explosion, in addition to stopping the course blood transfusions from some vital organs. It should be noted that this type of intervention includes a large number of high pressure patients who did not find a way to radical solutions to prevent complications for patients such as the explosion of the expansion or its extension to the arteries of the kidneys, intestines or extremities. This type of technology represents a qualitative development in the service provided at the Center for Vascular Surgery . And all the surgical supplies were provided by the treatment department within the waiting lists, and the intervention was carried out using the covered stent technique, which ensured the re-circulation of blood in the main aorta and took 45 minutes with all the preparations provided by the heart surgery team as well as the anesthesia team headed by Dr. Doaa Galal and the intensive care team Headed by Dr. Mohamed Adel, the patient’s examinations showed 100% of the intervention’s success as soon as the IVF ended

    Signing a cooperation protocol between the Faculty of Medicine, Mansoura University, and the Faculty of Medicine, Damietta University

    Prof. Dr. Tamer Abul-Saad, Acting Dean of the Faculty and Chairman of the Board of Directors of Hospitals and Medical Centers, and Prof. Dr. Ashraf Talaat Abdel-Samad, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, Damietta University, signed a cooperation protocol between the Faculty of Medicine.      Dr. Mohamed Abdel Wahab presented the importance of the new expansions of the liver and liver transplant building to eliminate the waiting lists. The Center can perform its mission in treating liver patients. The center has a selection of doctors and nurses who are working hard to treat the Egyptian patient. Has made new expansions to serve patients, and that the center since its establishment by the late Dr. Farouk Ezzat and the Center continues to perform his message to the fullest.
    He pointed out that the liver transplant program started in 2006 with one case per week and the program was developed to grow two cases a week until we reached the situation 510 Due to the need for expansions and after the donation of a benefactor, the design of the new building was based on the latest designs of the international medical centers. The first is outpatient clinics, the second floor is operations, the third floor is intensive care, the fourth floor is educational and administrative offices for doctors and administrators, 3 roles for patients with a capacity of 60 beds.
    Dr. Ahmed Abdel Raouf said that the success of the work and the level of medical services for patients as a result of the efforts of all the doctors and staff of the center, we are all working as a team for one goal is to serve the Egyptian patient and we will all condense to complete the new expansions and hope that this new building will be completed as soon as possible to eliminate Patient waiting lists.
     He added that the university is working on many expansions in medical centers and hospitals to eliminate waiting lists and provide the best medical service suitable for the Egyptian citizen. The University is currently working on the establishment of a specialized center for organ transplantation including liver and kidney transplantation in the University's expansion in Jamsa city.
     He pointed out that all hospitals and medical centers provide the best medical service to patients at the level of university hospitals, where more than 3 million patients were treated last year and hope that the new medical centers will be opened after completion and that the state spares no effort to strengthen hospitals.      Dr. Mohamed El-Qenawy confirmed that the new building is an addition to the medical system inside Mansoura University and will eliminate waiting lists for liver disease patients.     For his part, Prof. Mohamed Al-Qenawy said that the university has a strategy to eliminate the waiting lists and expansion of the units to accommodate the largest possible number of patients and to make maximum use of the qualitative excellence of the expertise of faculty members in the Department of Psychiatry for the treatment of psychiatric diseases, which appeared in the community recently, including the phenomenon of addiction and the activation of protocols Cooperation recently signed to rehabilitate the role of social care and rehabilitation of the mother and alternative follow-up cases.

    The 7th International Cancer Center Conference is one of the most important scientific events held annually in Egypt in the field of cancer treatment and surgery.     Dr. Mohamed Hegazy said that the conference brings together a group of the largest professors in medicine, treatment and oncology surgery from all centers and oncology units in Egypt, to present all that is new in the treatment and surgery of breast and abdominal tumors, as well as discuss the latest Science in the treatment of cancer.
     Dr. Abdul-Hadi said that the Center for Oncology is the largest oncology center in the Delta and offers many medical and therapeutic services for the treatment of cancer patients and is currently working on the application of new treatment protocols to increase the rate of cure cancer.
     Dr. Zaki Zaidan added that the university has an educational and research role, serving the community and the medical school in its centers. Its hospitals serve the community and the oncology center treats many cases of cancer through the efforts of all the workers and doctors in the center.
    For his part, Prof. Dr. A. Suweilm said that the development of scientific research has recently developed significantly and new protocols have been discovered for the treatment of oncology patients.
