History:

Clinical Oncology and Nuclear department was founded by Prof. Dr. Gamal Elwehedy at the late seventies of the last century. At that time, the department was the only provider of clinical oncology and nuclear medicine services at Mansoura University including chemotherapy, radiotherapy and bone marrow transplantation. The department has considered the multidisplinary approach in the management of cancer patients. Clinical and research collaboration with other clinical departments provided various opportunities for improved patient care and publications.
