Multidisciplinary tumor board meetings:
These meetings were established at 2018, starting with a breast and gynecology oncology MDT tumor board meeting every 2 weeks to discuss challenging cases presented by clinical oncology, oncosurgery and gynecology departments. Further similar specialized MDT meeting in lung and neuroendocrine tumors, GIT and hepatobiliary cancers, CNS tumors and head and neck cancers were established afterwards. These meetings facilitate the communication among different specialties involved in cancer patients' care which improved the clinical evidence based decision making process. They also highly impacted the learning of junior faculty through preparation of cases, searching for the evidence and scientific multidisciplinary discussion. Currently the following MDT meetings are held on a regular basis in collaboration with different surgical departments as well as pathology and radiology departments:
- CNS MDT tumor board meeting with neurosurgery department on Wednesday every 2 weeks.
